Technical Operations Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Operations Engineer to join the UAE‑based team of a leading oilfield services organization. This hands‑on position offers full ownership of a client’s well‑testing operations, from design and execution to evaluation, while building strong client relationships and stepping into supervisory duties as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational and technical proficiency in well‑testing services to meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with the Section Manager to develop and implement location strategy and targeted sales plans for assigned clients.
• Analyse revenue, equipment, personnel and HSE objectives continuously and take corrective action.
• Maintain strong client relationships and regular contact with assigned accounts.
• Travel to on‑site locations (onshore and offshore) to audit processes and identify improvement areas.
• Design, execute and evaluate well‑testing jobs personally, delivering best‑in‑class service.
• Assume supervisory or management responsibilities, including people, equipment and inventory management.
• Engage with clients in a combined sales and technical capacity, presenting tailored solutions.
• Participate in proposals, tender preparation and competitor intelligence gathering.
• Own client receivables and DSO, from FST preparation through collection.
• Cover Service Leader duties during leave or rotation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Field Engineer (Level III) in the oilfield sector.
• Completion of QHSE training requirements.
• Fluent English with strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving, analytical skills and a customer‑centric mindset.
