Technical Project Manager (IT)

About the role

The Technical Project Manager reports to the Head of IT & Digital and works on projects covering technical operations, infrastructure and IT strategy. The role ensures that technology systems and applications effectively support business objectives, working closely with IT professionals, managing vendor relationships and collaborating with cross-functional departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for designing, deploying and maintaining IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems and cloud platforms.
• Ensure the availability, scalability and security of technical systems to meet business requirements.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient IT service delivery.
• Oversee the IT operations budget, track expenditures and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, industry best practices and security standards in data privacy, cybersecurity and disaster recovery.
• Implement and maintain security protocols and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Lead IT project management, including system implementations and technology upgrades, and advise senior management on IT strategy.
• Monitor system performance, identify improvements and upgrade needs, and train IT staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in technical operations, infrastructure management or IT leadership.
• Proven experience leading large-scale IT projects and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ability to translate business needs into IT strategy, focusing on ROI and cost efficiency.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Cloud computing, cybersecurity, ERP/CRM systems and data analytics.
• Certifications such as CIO, ITIL, PMP, CISSP or cloud certifications are a plus.
