Technical Services Engineer – Propulsion

About the role

The Technical Services Engineer – Propulsion will manage and monitor the Power Plants (Engines and APU) Reliability Program for the airline’s fleet and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures optimal engine and APU performance, cost‑effective dispatch, fleet readiness and compliance with airworthiness regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day technical assessment of aircraft power plants, including data collection, performance review, analysis, reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain procedures, specifications and Engineering Operational Standards (EOS) for the Propulsion Reliability Program.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of engine/APU issues, generate trend reports and recommend modifications to the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP).
• Coordinate with Planning, MCC, manufacturers and OEMs on engine/APU removal, installation, spare management and service bulletins/AD compliance.
• Partner with Projects, Warranty, Legal and Finance on new initiatives, contracts and SLAs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical) or equivalent with 5+ years aviation experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CFM56/5B engines, GTCP 131‑9A APUs and Airbus A320 fleet.
• Familiarity with CAMO requirements, civil aviation regulations (GCAA preferred) and aircraft maintenance planning systems.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, quality‑assurance activities and manage technical documentation.

Required skills

• Engine and APU performance monitoring and data analysis.
• Root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting of power‑plant issues.
• Use of MRO software, Microsoft Office suite and web‑based research tools.
• Knowledge of Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and Engineering Orders.
