Technical Specialist - Cyber Security

About the role

The Technical Specialist – Cyber Security will protect Intertec Systems’ IT infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates by continuously monitoring, analysing and responding to security incidents. You will implement security controls, manage a range of security tools and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST and other regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform triage, investigation and escalation of security events using SIEM and other tools.
• Conduct daily health checks on firewalls, endpoints, security appliances and SIEM platforms.
• Manage endpoint protection, email security and web‑filtering solutions.
• Participate in threat‑hunting activities and analyse suspicious anomalies.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and ensure timely patch compliance.
• Maintain system hardening, secure configurations and adhere to CIS benchmark standards.
• Support audit readiness and contribute to internal and external ISO 27001 audits.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC/NOC environments and security infrastructure management.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CompTIA Security+, CEH or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, PCI‑DSS and GDPR compliance.
