Technical Superintendent – Transshipment Fleet

About the role

The Technical Superintendent will lead the technical upkeep of the Safeen transshipment fleet, ensuring vessels meet local, class and flag regulations while adhering to industry best practices. This senior position reports to the General Manager and works closely with marine engineers and dry‑docking teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control a team of marine engineers in repair and maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement vessel‑specific preventive maintenance programmes aligned with shipbuilder and manufacturer specifications.
• Coordinate class surveys, major projects, dry‑docking and budget planning, ensuring projects stay within budget and schedule.
• Review and approve equipment modification requests to improve efficiency, operability and reliability.
• Analyse deviations, conduct root‑cause investigations and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Certificate of Competency (Class I) / Chief Engineer – Foreign Going.
• Minimum 6 years of maritime experience, including at least 2 years as Chief Engineer.
• Proven ability to manage safe, economic and efficient vessel operations.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, crew, regulatory bodies and service providers.
