Technician – Gearbox Assembly & Service (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Technician to join our expert workshop team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for the precise assembly and disassembly of high‑precision gearboxes, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble complex gearboxes according to detailed engineering specifications.
• Service gearboxes, following defined procedures and scope of work.
• Read and interpret section drawings, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and assembly/service lists using computer software.
• Communicate with the project lead to resolve open issues promptly.
• Collaborate with peers to achieve team objectives while adhering to safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or vocational training (e.g., mechatronics, automotive technician).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical repair, preferably with gearboxes or automotive products.
• Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and communicate effectively in English.
• Excellent adherence to safety standards and company protocols.

Required skills

• Mechanical assembly and disassembly of gearboxes.
• Interpretation of section drawings and hydraulic schematics.
• Use of diagnostic and measurement tools for gearbox servicing.
• Basic PC skills – MS Word, MS Excel, and documentation tools.
