Telephone Operator – Front Office

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, self‑motivated Telephone Operator to join our front‑office team. You will be the first point of contact for guests calling the hotel, delivering professional and courteous service that enhances their stay.
Key responsibilities
- Answer every guest call in a friendly, professional manner and greet callers by name.
- Maintain effective communication with all relevant departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Handle guest queries politely, exceed expectations, and provide accurate information about the hotel and local services.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the property, guest profiles via the Opera system, and local attractions.
- Process long‑distance call vouchers and record them on the traffic sheet.
- Manage the wake‑up‑call sheet and deliver calls promptly.
- Operate the switchboard efficiently, transferring internal and external calls quickly.
- Take and relay messages for guests and management according to standards.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar front‑office or telephone operator role.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication with strong voice modulation.
- Computer literate and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
- Customer‑focused, proactive, and a strong team player.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the Opera hotel management system.
