Teller – UAE Nationals Only (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Teller role at Emirates Islamic Bank focuses on delivering efficient, accurate and high‑quality cash and non‑cash services to customers while adhering to Shariah principles and regulatory requirements. You will be the front‑line representative, ensuring smooth transaction processing and excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, handle inquiries and promote digital banking channels.
• Process cash deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cheques and other teller transactions accurately and within authority limits.
• Maintain cash drawer balances, reconcile at day‑end and safeguard cash holdings.
• Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, sanctions screening and internal audit standards, escalating suspicious activity as needed.
• Identify sales opportunities, refer customers to appropriate banking products and support branch sales initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Banking or related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in banking, retail or cash‑handling environments; fresh UAE nationals are encouraged.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and ability to work in a fast‑paced setting.
• Good communication skills in Arabic and English.
