Trader – Household & Personal Care (HHPC)

About the role

Solevo is seeking an experienced Trader to lead the Household and Personal Care (HHPC) segment. The role focuses on direct sales, managing the full back‑to‑back trading cycle for commodity and semi‑commodity chemicals, and delivering rapid pricing solutions to sales teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Target customers and increase Solevo’s share of wallet in assigned countries and segments.
• Identify and pursue new trading opportunities to grow the HHPC business.
• Execute end‑to‑end trading processes, including sourcing, negotiation, and sales.
• Provide pricing and offers to sales teams and direct clients within a 24‑hour window.
• Assess customer financial strength and coordinate credit terms with the Finance department.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients to secure favorable terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Execution, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales) to optimise the supply chain.
• Travel up to 30% of the time to support regional activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in trading, commercial, or sales roles within chemical distribution or related commodities.
• Strong understanding of international trade, logistics, and supply‑chain processes.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with quick turnaround times.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade regulations.
