Trainee Site Engineer

About the role

Al Tayer Stocks is looking for a Trainee Site Engineer in Dubai. The role develops and implements the project programme on site in an organised and cost-effective way, in line with the approved design, quality standards and the agreed time frame.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain project drawings, assess material and manpower needs accurately and pass the material requirements to the Purchase Department for procurement, after approval
• Monitor project progress against the plan and report discrepancies or delays so that corrective action can be taken
• Organise and manage the workforce, supervise the site, keep the Manager informed and handle technical and engineering issues, manpower requests and drawing changes
• Liaise regularly with Site Management on adherence to the programme and highlight any discrepancies
• Carry out quality checks and complete quality check lists with the QC Inspector to ensure work meets specifications
• Coordinate site demobilisation on project completion and prepare the related reports
• Execute snag lists issued by consultants, oversee subcontractors and monitor jobs for timely completion and compliance

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering
• 2 to 3 years of experience in the interior contracting or construction industry
