Travel Consultant

About the role

The Travel Consultant will guide customers through a range of travel options, helping them select routes and airlines that fit their budget and preferences. You will manage ticketing, provide cost‑saving proposals, and ensure a smooth booking experience that drives repeat business.

Key responsibilities

• Provide detailed information on travel options, advise clients on suitable routes and airlines, and process ticket bookings promptly.
• Offer cost‑effective proposals, including ancillary services such as airport transfers and hotel accommodations.
• Handle cash and cheque transactions in accordance with company policies, maintaining accurate records to avoid discrepancies.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date customer database with preferences, frequent‑traveler numbers, and special requests to deliver personalized service.
• Collect feedback after travel, assess service quality, and suggest improvements.
• Follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely settlement of accounts.
• Update product knowledge regularly on industry regulations, airline policies, and emerging travel trends to provide accurate advice.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in the travel industry, preferably in ticketing or sales.
• Intermediate or A‑Level education; IATA certification is a strong advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
