Urban Planner

About the role

NAGANAGA Architects, Designers & Planners is seeking a talented Urban Planner to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves shaping urban environments and master‑planned communities across the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, delivering innovative and sustainable planning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and develop master plans, urban design proposals and planning studies for diverse projects.
• Conduct site analysis, land‑use studies, zoning reviews and urban research.
• Develop planning concepts that meet environmental, social, economic and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, infrastructure, transportation and engineering teams.
• Produce high‑quality reports, presentation materials, diagrams and illustrative graphics.
• Ensure compliance with local planning regulations, municipal requirements and international best practices.
• Participate in client meetings, design workshops and presentations.
• Assist in preparing submissions for planning authorities and regulatory approvals.
• Support sustainable and resilient urban design strategies and stay updated on smart‑city trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in urban planning and master‑planning.
• Experience on residential, mixed‑use, commercial, hospitality or large‑scale master‑planned developments.
• Strong understanding of urban planning principles, land‑use planning and development regulations.
• Experience in multidisciplinary consultancy environments; GCC experience is an advantage.
