VAT Senior Manager / Director

About the role

We are seeking a VAT Senior Manager / Director to lead the delivery of VAT engagements in Abu Dhabi. The role combines technical tax expertise with client‑facing responsibilities and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead VAT engagements, ensuring technical excellence and commercial practicality.
• Provide written and verbal advice on VAT impact across supply chains, financial and accounting systems.
• Identify, assess and mitigate VAT risks, advising on transaction implications and compliance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Supervise, coach and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional development.

Required profile

• Degree in economics, finance, tax or accounting; CPA or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in professional services or a tax organization handling indirect tax.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks under pressure, and motivate teams.
• Experience working in multicultural environments.
