Vice President – Cybersecurity

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vice President – Cybersecurity to lead enterprise‑wide cybersecurity strategy, operations, governance and risk management within a large, complex organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the enterprise‑wide cybersecurity strategy, frameworks, policies and technology roadmap.
• Lead cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, prevention, incident response and recovery.
• Oversee cybersecurity architecture, infrastructure security, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and digital forensics.
• Manage Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities and third‑party service providers.
• Establish and maintain governance, risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Provide risk assessments and technical guidance for major IT initiatives across cloud, network and hybrid environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.
• Professional certification such as CISSP (preferred).
• Proven expertise in strategy, architecture, operations, governance and risk management.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Required skills

• ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NESA, NIST, COBIT, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR, OWASP ASVS, CSA STAR.
• Security Operations Centre (SOC) management and third‑party provider oversight.
• Vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, digital forensics.
• Cloud security, SD‑WAN, SASE, network security.
• Experience with security audits and compliance (e.g., PCI DSS, NESA).
