Vice President Finance Business Partner – Retail Banking

About the role

The Vice President Finance Business Partner will provide strategic financial insight and support decision‑making across Retail Banking, influencing the financial direction and performance of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop financial strategies, business plans, budgets and targets; monitor performance against them.
• Manage monthly accounting and reporting, prepare commentary and analyse P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Assess client, product and segment profitability, conduct deep‑dives and identify growth and cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Build detailed financial models to evaluate business scenarios and their impact.
• Evaluate financial viability of new product launches and prepare product‑level P&L reporting.
• Contribute financial inputs to Group Management Committee packs and Retail Business Review packs.
• Track and report financial and non‑financial KPIs relevant to Retail Banking.
• Maintain compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards and internal policies; liaise with auditors and regulators.
• Mentor the finance team and oversee financial system or technology implementations in collaboration with IT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; professional certification (CMA, CPA or CFA) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance business partnering experience in banking or financial services, preferably in Retail Banking with UAE market exposure.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and Retail Banking products.
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into clear business insight.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
