Vice President, Head of Branches - Abu Dhabi and Al Ain

About the role

Rakbank is looking for a Vice President, Head of Branches to lead its branch network across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Reporting to the Head of Branch Distribution, the role oversees branch performance, drives business growth, strengthens customer experience and ensures the network complies with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement branch strategies, sales plans and business development activities to grow the Personal Banking business
• Monitor sales, service, operational and financial performance across the district and ensure branches meet their objectives
• Visit branches regularly, review performance and identify opportunities; run surprise audits and review service excellence reports
• Support Branch Managers and the Relief Branch Operations Manager, and build a motivated, accountable team
• Use customer feedback, market trends and branch data to make informed decisions
• Ensure compliance with AML, Compliance, Audit, Legal, operational risk and regulatory requirements, and maintain awareness of business continuity needs
• Oversee recruitment, performance management, development and training across the district
• Build relationships with Retail Banking, Operations, Risk, Compliance and other functions, and help shape branch policies and procedures

Required profile

• Strong leadership experience in branch banking, retail banking or branch distribution
• Experience managing multiple branches, locations or a large sales and service network
• Strong knowledge of AML, Compliance, Audit, Legal and regulatory requirements in banking
• Experience leading Branch Managers and developing high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, influencing and conflict-resolution skills
