Vice President - Head of Branches, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain (UAE National)

About the role

Rakbank is looking for a Vice President, Head of Branches to lead its branch network across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Reporting to the Head of Branch Distribution, the role oversees branch performance, drives business growth, strengthens customer experience and ensures the network complies with bank policies and regulatory requirements. The position is open to UAE nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement branch strategies, sales plans and business development activities to grow the Personal Banking business
• Monitor sales, service, operational and financial performance across the district and ensure branches meet their objectives
• Visit branches regularly, review performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Review service excellence reports, run surprise audits and work with branch teams to raise the service standard
• Support Branch Managers and the Relief Branch Operations Manager, and recruit, manage performance and train staff across the district
• Ensure branches comply with AML, compliance, audit, legal, operational risk and regulatory requirements, and maintain business continuity readiness
• Build strong relationships with Retail Banking, Operations, Risk, Compliance and other functions, and help shape branch policies and operating standards

Required profile

• Strong leadership experience in branch banking, retail banking or branch distribution
• Experience managing multiple branches, locations or a large sales and service network
• Strong knowledge of AML, compliance, audit, legal and regulatory requirements in banking
• Experience leading Branch Managers and building high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, conflict resolution and commercial judgment
