Waiter - 5-Star Hotel Restaurant

About the role

Grand Mercure Dubai City, a 5-star Accor hotel with 361 rooms, diverse dining venues and modern meeting facilities, is looking for a waiter. The role is responsible for serving food and beverage to guests in line with service standards, policies, procedures and etiquette.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverage correctly, anticipating guest needs and following up on their requests
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the menu and daily specials, and know guest preferences and update their profiles
• Be familiar with beverage service, including glasses used and appropriate garnishes
• Follow grooming standards, present menus proactively and serve and clear items unobtrusively and professionally
• Keep service stations clear and re-stock them during service
• Follow up daily financial, LQA, Trust You and Forbes targets, and use opening and closing checklists
• Maintain HACCP and FIFO standards and follow the hotel evacuation policy in emergencies
• Attend briefings and training, identify potential problems early and carry out special projects asked by management

• Proficiency in English
• Well presented and professionally groomed at all times

• Good interpersonal skills, confident and guest-oriented
• Attention to quality, detail and teamwork
