About the role

The DoubleTree by Hilton Sharjah Waterfront Hotel and Residences is looking for a full-time Waiter / Waitress. The role goes beyond serving food and drink: it is about making every guest's stay memorable through friendly, efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Delight guests with an upbeat, friendly attitude and proactively make their meal experience special
• Learn the menu, promotions and specials so you can answer guests' questions confidently
• Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the point-of-sale system and deliver orders promptly
• Keep the food service station fully stocked, clean and organised
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness regulations

Required profile

• No formal degree is required for most entry-level jobs
• Previous or current hotel industry experience is an advantage; previous restaurant or hospitality experience is helpful but often not essential
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Basic English is usually required, especially for taking orders
• Numeracy helps with bills and payments
• Food hygiene training may be needed, depending on the employer and role; additional requirements may apply for serving alcohol
