Waiter / Waitress

About the role

We are looking for a professional and customer‑focused Waiter/Waitress to join the restaurant team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah. You will play a key part in delivering memorable dining experiences by providing prompt, courteous service while upholding the highest standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, seat them, present menus and take drink orders promptly.
• Present menu items with enthusiasm, recommend dishes based on guest preferences and dietary needs.
• Accurately record food and beverage orders and communicate special requests to kitchen and bar.
• Deliver meals and drinks to tables, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address any concerns with professionalism.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service station, tables, and surrounding areas.
• Process payments using the POS system and handle cash transactions responsibly.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and housekeeping staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health regulations at all times.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or food‑service training is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and dining etiquette.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while paying attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
