Waiter / Waitress - Private Members Club

About the role

The First Group Hospitality is looking for a polished, service-oriented Waiter / Waitress to deliver refined, personalized dining experiences in an exclusive private members club. The role calls for strong food and beverage knowledge, excellent service etiquette and an intuitive understanding of member expectations, with attentive, discreet and seamless service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver attentive, personalized food and beverage service to members and their guests.
• Build rapport with members, recognize individual preferences and anticipate needs without compromising discretion or privacy.
• Present menus confidently, explain culinary offerings and recommend food, beverages and pairings.
• Carry out service sequences such as table preparation, order taking, food presentation and clearing.
• Work closely with Culinary, Bar and other service colleagues to ensure accurate orders, good pacing and timely delivery.
• Accommodate dietary preferences, allergies and special requests, communicating accurately with the Culinary team.
• Maintain impeccable table settings, dining areas and service stations.
• Process orders and payments accurately through POS systems and support upselling opportunities.
• Handle member feedback and service concerns promptly, escalating where appropriate.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene, health and safety and Club service procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of food and beverage service experience, preferably in private members clubs, fine dining restaurants or premium hospitality.
• Strong understanding of fine dining etiquette, table settings, service sequences and presentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polished, discreet, member-focused approach.
• Good knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, beverages and basic pairing principles.
• Ability to anticipate member needs and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and digital ordering platforms.
• Teamwork, adaptability and attention to detail.
