Waiter/Waitress - All Day Dining

About the role

The Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a Waiter/Waitress for its all-day dining restaurant. The role is about delivering memorable guest experiences through food and beverage service, supporting the captain or head waiter and contributing to in-house sales.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the captain or head waiter during service and stay available at all times
• Promote in-house sales through knowledge of hotel services, opening hours and promotions of all F&B outlets
• Know the day's suggestions before starting the shift
• Clean trolleys and pedestal tables, polish cutlery and ensure mise en place
• Fill sugar dispensers, mustard pots, toothpick holders and oil and vinegar containers
• Supply the restaurant with linen and follow the daily cleaning and restaurant closure plans
• Provide high-quality food and beverage service and meet guest satisfaction
• Follow F&B policies, recognise quality products and presentation, and improve service standards
• Help staff during peak periods and manage waste by reducing and recycling
• May also attend mandatory meetings, do general cleaning, keep the work area tidy and assist security with disorderly guests

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service, including alcoholic beverages
• Ability to remember, recite and promote the menu items
• Ability to work standing and in confined spaces for long periods

Required skills

• Basic math to operate a cash register, make change, total checks and prepare cash drops
• Advanced English writing for requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers
• Keyboard operation and point-of-sale procedures to pre-check, order and close out checks
