About the role

The Waiter/Waitress plays an essential role in delivering a refined, attentive, and personalized dining experience at Grand Hyatt. The position requires excellent service etiquette, strong food and beverage knowledge, and close attention to guest preferences.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, present menus, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on food, beverages, specials, and signature offerings.
• Take accurate orders, enter them into the POS system, and communicate special requests to kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages according to five‑star service standards, ensuring proper presentation, timing, and tableware.
• Monitor tables throughout service, anticipate needs, and provide timely refills and assistance.
• Prepare tables and service stations with required mise‑en‑place, maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Bar, Hostess, and other F&B colleagues to communicate dietary requirements and service priorities.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and follow procedures for billing, payment, food safety, hygiene, responsible beverage service, and health and safety.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality diploma preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a waiter/waitress, preferably in a five‑star hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse guests.
• Well‑groomed, guest‑focused appearance and ability to work fast‑paced weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
