Warehouse Assistant Supervisor

About the role

The Warehouse Assistant Supervisor will arrange and supervise the receipt, storage and dispatch of products, ensuring alignment with the company’s business plan. The role also acts as deputy to the Distribution Centre Manager when required, supporting efficient floor operations and delivery coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily resource utilization and manage floor and delivery operations to maximise productivity.
• Schedule incoming truck off‑loading and route delivery trucks to meet lead‑time targets and optimise fleet usage.
• Generate pick slips and distribute them to the picking team to support the delivery schedule.
• Ensure stock accuracy by verifying quantities received, conducting weekly cycle counts and reconciling inventory records.
• Confirm quantity and quality of returned goods and collect signed invoices on the day of delivery.
• Maintain product quality standards during loading and off‑loading and enforce SOPs to prevent damage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in logistics or supply‑chain environments.
• Strong knowledge of quality‑assurance principles and their implementation.
• Effective communication, high initiative and leadership abilities.
