Welcomer - Front Desk Receptionist

About the role

A friendly and enthusiastic Welcomer is sought to join the team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As Welcomer, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a warm and personalised welcome in a vibrant, multicultural environment and helping deliver a smooth arrival and departure process.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests warmly and professionally
• Provide personalised check-in and check-out experiences
• Assist guests with inquiries, directions and hotel information
• Offer welcome beverages or amenities on arrival, depending on guest status or preferences
• Coordinate with Front Office, Concierge and Guest Relations for a seamless guest experience
• Maintain a visible presence in the lobby and be ready to assist or guide guests
• Promote hotel services, facilities and ongoing promotions
• Handle guest feedback and escalate issues appropriately
• Record and communicate guest preferences and special requests
• Anticipate guest needs and offer relevant recommendations

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Front Office or guest-facing role in a 4- or 5-star hotel
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written); additional languages are an advantage
• Warm, outgoing and service-oriented personality
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of Dubai and its tourist attractions
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Adaptability to a multicultural environment and attention to detail

Required skills

• Basic computer skills
• Familiarity with Opera or similar hotel management software is preferred
