Welder – Dredger Maintenance

About the role

As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various components and structures of the dredger. This includes repairing and maintaining equipment, as well as fabricating new parts as needed. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are met. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and skilled team, working on cutting‑edge dredging projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks on various components and structures of the dredger.
• Repair and maintain equipment and fabricate new parts as required.
• Follow Technical Services Department policies and procedures.
• Report work progress, issues and preventive maintenance needs to the charge hand or supervisor.
• Comply with HSE regulations and use required protective equipment.
• Provide technical information and spare‑part requirements to the supervisor.
• Prepare material lists and submit reports on completed work.
• Identify and report missing or defective equipment, hazards or safety violations.

Required profile

• Technical School Certificate or equivalent professional qualification.
• Welding competency certificate.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar welding role within the industry.
• STCW Basic Training certification.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and read technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of structural and pipe fabrication.
