Welding Superintendent

About the role

NMDC Group is looking for an experienced Welding Superintendent to lead the welding team in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee supervisors and foremen, ensuring safety, quality, and efficient execution of welding activities across structural and piping projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all structural and piping welding activities, ensuring safety and equipment reliability.
• Identify personnel, equipment, and consumable requirements to meet project specifications.
• Coordinate with welding supervisors, foremen, inspectors, and third‑party NDT personnel.
• Conduct welding trials, qualify procedures, and train welders.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and maintain welders’ qualification validity.
• Lead toolbox meetings to promote safety awareness.
• Monitor consumption of electrodes, shielding gases, flux and report short‑falls.
• Coordinate with client, third‑party, and inspection teams on welding issues.
• Troubleshoot welding problems and ensure project progress.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate with a discipline‑specific technical qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience supervising welding teams in structural and piping projects.
