Wireline Logging Operator

About the role

This role drives wireline trucks and cranes safely to carry out wireline land operations on time. It covers driving, equipment set-up and operational checks, reporting and maintenance, within the UAE drilling and logging sector.

Key responsibilities

• Drive wireline trucks and light vehicles between base camp and other locations.
• Perform wireline operations, including rigging up and down wireline equipment and tools.
• Check that X-Over areas are properly selected and that X-Trees are the right size.
• Carry out operational checklists on site and check hydraulic oil and fluid levels.
• Allocate safety equipment and sign boards, and verify the HSE passport is available with crew before going to the wireline workshop.
• Attend job briefings and debriefings regularly with the supervisor.
• Connect and disconnect pressure control equipment before and after operations, and maintain the truck inventory and tools.
• Follow up monthly maintenance, keep the truck clean and tidy, and record the wire log sheet and final report for the client.
• Prepare daily wireline reports, fill ADNOC Drilling and client checklists, and contribute to section progress reports and KPI checklists.
• Assist with equipment testing, certification and inspection, and help identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Comply with UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client asset integrity management codes of practice, and support an HSE culture.

Required profile

• Diploma in a technical field.
• At least 5 years' experience as an operator in a professional logging company.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Completion of all HSE courses required for logging operations.

Required skills

• Basic tool checking, hydraulics and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of ADNOC Drilling and client checklists and reporting.
