Workshop Technician - Rides Maintenance

About the role

Miral Experiences is hiring a Workshop Technician for its Technical Services Rides Department, which supports the maintenance of rides, facilities and attractions. The role covers all maintenance needed to keep workshop equipment, elevated work platforms and other assets physically functional, safe and in good condition.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily checks, start-ups and closing procedures, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on workshop equipment, fabrication and modification.
• Keep equipment available so the department can run smoothly, and support the rides team and operations.
• Support the annual rehabilitation of rides and take part in safe housekeeping.
• Keep equipment and the workplace safe for colleagues and guests, and respond to and resolve downtime calls.
• Report issues affecting safe operation to Team Leaders and complete their assigned tasks on time.
• Complete preventive maintenance checklists and submit them on time, and make sure corrective maintenance is done well so problems do not recur.
• Give feedback on assigned tasks and attend briefings, training and development programmes.

Required profile

• Technical school or training institute education, or a related technical qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, workshops, fabrication and assembly.
• Basic English speaking and writing.
• Expertise in at least one of electrical, mechanical or physical fitness areas.

Required skills

• Reading drawings, schematic diagrams, hydraulic drawings and diagrams.
• Welding and fabrication.
• Troubleshooting and equipment issue resolution.
• Safe tool handling and safety awareness.
