Wound Care Nurse

About the role

Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi is recruiting one Wound Care Nurse. The nurse provides and coordinates patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care while complying with ethical and professional standards set by regulatory authorities and the company.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in collaboration with the multi-professional team according to clinical standards and relevant legislation.
• Ensure patient safety by identifying, preventing and managing risks in line with company risk policies, procedures and legislation.
• Create a conducive environment for positive patient experiences, guided by nursing leadership.
• Build a learning environment by supervising, mentoring and coaching learners and nursing staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) certification or an equivalent internationally recognised wound care qualification.
• At least two years of experience in your home country; three years of recent wound care experience is desired.
• Experience in acute and chronic wound care, including VAC therapies and related advanced wound care practices.

Required skills

• Verbal and written communication in English.
• Knowledge of patient safety standards, client service and management principles, and continuous quality improvement methodologies.
• Stoma and wound care management, including stoma equipment and basic troubleshooting.
