X-Ray Aide - General Radiology

About the role

SSMC is hiring an X-Ray Aide for its General Radiology department in Abu Dhabi. The role provides administrative support to the department and helps facilitate the flow of work, while also performing other assigned tasks and supporting patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain stock of consumable items and keep the working environment clean and hygienic
• Prepare patients for treatment, including lifting them, and help with procedures such as biopsies
• Check equipment, report faults, and input data into the system
• Act as chaperone to female patients for male technicians and assist with appointments and patient contact
• Maintain internal schedules, coordinate administrative support and follow up on meetings
• Modify and maintain departmental databases and prepare worksheets and charts as directed
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive patient information and comply with regulations on mentoring and training of UAE nationals
• Work shifts including night duty

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in any field; a bachelor's degree is desired
• Demonstrated relevant experience; experience in a large healthcare facility is desired
