X-Ray Aide - General Radiology

About the role

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi is hiring a full-time X-Ray Aide for its General Radiology department. The role provides administrative support to the department, helps facilitate the flow of work and carries out other assigned tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain stock of consumable items and check equipment, reporting faults
• Prepare patients for treatment, including lifting them, and help with procedures such as biopsies
• Keep the working environment clean and hygienic
• Act as chaperone to female patients for male technicians and assist with appointments and patient contact
• Input data into the system, maintain internal schedules and coordinate administrative support
• Modify and maintain departmental databases, prepare worksheets and charts, and follow up on meetings
• Work shifts including night duty; comply with regulations on mentoring and training of UAE nationals
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive patient information and continuous quality improvement in line with patient care standards

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in any field; a bachelor's degree or equivalent is desired
• Demonstrated relevant experience; experience in a large healthcare facility is desired
