Yacht Engineer

About the role

The Yacht Engineer is responsible for ensuring all engines, generators and mechanical systems on board operate flawlessly. The role demands strong mechanical acumen, troubleshooting ability, and meticulous maintenance of the engine room to keep the yacht ready for sailing at all times.

Key responsibilities

• All engineering system operations and maintenance, covering mechanical, electrical, electronics, audio‑visual, hydraulics and air‑conditioning systems.
• Engine room safety management (ISM) and planned maintenance coordination (PMP).
• Scheduled checking, testing and cleaning of generators, electrical panels, electric motors, lighting fixtures, electronic circuit boards, sensors, appliances, instruments, batteries and power supplies.
• Regular inspection and testing of the yacht’s navigational and monitoring systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience working on modern yachts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
