Yellow Plant Manager - High-Speed Rail (Rail Infrastructure)

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking an experienced Yellow Plant Manager to support a major High-Speed Rail (HSR) infrastructure project in the UAE (Abu Dhabi / Dubai). The role covers the day-to-day operations, availability, maintenance and performance of railway plant, machinery and associated equipment needed for project activities, working closely with construction, trackwork, maintenance, logistics, HSE and project teams. Employment is full-time and project-based, starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all Yellow Plant operations, equipment and machinery supporting railway project activities.
• Ensure high levels of plant availability, productivity, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Manage plant personnel, technicians, operators and supervisors, including daily schedules and priorities.
• Monitor equipment performance, utilization, downtime, productivity and maintenance costs.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, quality standards, statutory requirements and company procedures.
• Coordinate with project, construction, trackwork, engineering and logistics teams.
• Manage spare parts, tools, consumables and equipment procurement with Procurement and suppliers.
• Prepare operational and maintenance reports and monitor plant KPIs; analyze failures and improve reliability and availability.
• Support equipment mobilization, allocation and demobilization, and coordinate inspections, testing, certification and return-to-service.
• Manage relationships with manufacturers, OEMs, suppliers, maintenance contractors and external service providers, and maintain accurate maintenance records and asset information.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Plant or Railway Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Significant experience managing railway Yellow Plant, on-track plant or specialized railway maintenance/construction equipment.
• Previous experience on a High-Speed Rail project strongly required/preferred, especially at senior Plant Manager level.
• Experience managing plant personnel, workshops, technicians, operators and contractors.
• Experience monitoring fleet utilization, downtime, productivity, maintenance costs and operational KPIs.
• Strong understanding of HSE requirements for railway and heavy-equipment operations.
• Preferred: hands-on management of tamping machines, ballast regulators, dynamic track stabilizers, ballast cleaning equipment, RRVs, track maintenance machinery, rail grinding/welding equipment and track construction/renewal equipment.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability and asset-management principles.
• CMMS / ERP / asset-management systems such as SAP, Maximo or equivalent.
• Strong communication and coordination skills in an international project environment.
