AC Technician – Hotel Engineering

About the role

Join the Engineering team at Meliá Desert Palm Dubai and ensure guests enjoy a comfortable stay. As an AC Technician you will maintain, troubleshoot and repair the resort’s heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning and refrigeration systems while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair air‑conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment across the resort.
• Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance in line with hotel standards.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and perform repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
• Conduct daily inspections of HVAC equipment, record operating readings and report abnormalities.
• Clean, adjust and service HVAC systems to optimise performance and energy efficiency.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and fire‑brigade duties.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work completion reports and ensure proper tool storage.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and maintenance manuals for accurate repairs.
• Keep workshop and work areas clean, organised and compliant with safety regulations.
• Support sustainability initiatives by promoting energy‑efficient operation of HVAC systems.

Required profile

• Skilled and dependable AC Technician with experience in hotel or resort environments.
• Ability to work safely, follow hotel standards and respond to emergencies.
• Willingness to participate in fire‑brigade duties and sustainability programmes.
