Account Manager

About the role

The Account Manager will provide technical support to Apex Group’s fund accounting team, ensuring hedge fund books and records are accurate and compliant with industry and regulatory standards. You will act as a trusted partner to clients, help grow the business, and lead a team of fund accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Fund Accounting team and ensure accurate hedge‑fund records.
• Perform risk assessments to guarantee adequate resourcing for current and future client growth.
• Assess team knowledge and skill sets to match technical and client requirements.
• Act as a partner to clients, developing their business while meeting regulatory standards.
• Develop and manage a team of fund accountants, including performance reviews and knowledge development.
• Assist in creating controls and procedures for the fund accounting group.
• Review daily Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and related accounting functions such as P&L analysis, cash projections, and FX transfers.
• Perform month‑end control processes, produce control packs, and sign‑off on reconciliations.
• Maintain relationships with auditors for year‑end financial statements and data provision.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of experience in hedge‑fund accounting, including team leadership.
• Proven ability to manage NAV review and technical fund accounting controls.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA or ACA qualification preferred.
