Accountant – Floral & E‑Commerce (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Accountant to manage the full financial operations of a fast‑growing floral and e‑commerce business in Dubai. The role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping, focusing on process optimisation, cash‑flow management and supporting financial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end bookkeeping and accounting operations.
• Prepare financial statements including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Handle VAT and corporate tax filing and ensure compliance.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including vendor negotiations.
• Reconcile e‑commerce payouts, POS systems, bank statements and inventory costing.
• Monitor cash flow, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate inventory reporting for floral products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in e‑commerce, retail or floral/FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Analytical, organized and problem‑solving mindset.
• Leadership potential to eventually manage an accounting team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoho Books accounting software.
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Experience with e‑commerce platforms such as Shopify, Talabat, Deliveroo, Instashop, Amazon, WooCommerce.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
