Accountant – Full‑time, Abu Hail, Dubai

About the role

A detail‑oriented Accountant is needed to support general accounting and financial management activities for an established business in Abu Hail, Dubai. The role focuses on maintaining general ledgers, executing bank reconciliations, processing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with local taxation laws.

Key responsibilities

• Log daily financial transactions, manage general ledger entries, and perform routine bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial records.
• Execute accounts payable (AP) processing, manage accounts receivable (AR) collections, and perform bank reconciliations for timely cash flow management.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and comprehensive reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage Value Added Tax (VAT) computations, maintain supporting documentation, and ensure timely statutory filing in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Maintain organized audit trails, invoice archives, and supporting financial documentation to facilitate audits and internal reviews.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably with exposure to UAE accounting standards and practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) demonstrating solid academic foundation in financial principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software applications (e.g., ERP systems) for efficient transaction processing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for complex data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
• Familiarity with VAT filing portals and compliance procedures to ensure accurate tax submissions.
