Accountant – Immediate Start (AR/AP, Odoo ERP)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our finance team immediately. The role will manage the full accounts receivable and payable cycles using Odoo ERP, ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day AR operations in Odoo, including invoicing, payment posting, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain customer ledgers, statements, AR aging reports and collection forecasts.
• Process supplier invoices, perform three‑way matching, and execute vendor payments.
• Maintain vendor ledgers, reconcile AP statements and monitor payment terms.
• Generate AR and AP financial reports, assist with budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and provide insights for management.
• Ensure accurate VAT treatment on sales and purchase invoices and support UAE Corporate Tax filings and audits.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Analytical mindset, problem‑solving ability and effective communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
