Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our Abdulla Al Masaood and Sons Group team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for core accounting functions and will support financial reporting in a fast‑moving business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Process customer invoices and supplier payments accurately and on time.
• Assist with month‑end closing and prepare related accounting schedules.
• Maintain accurate financial records for assigned entities.
• Support external audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Currently residing in the UAE.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software or ERP systems (specify which systems you have used).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and PivotTables.
