Accountant – Receivables

About the role

The Accountant – Receivables will support the Finance Department of a university by maintaining accurate receivable records, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and institutional policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process sponsorship and scholarship invoices for government and private entities, providing required documentation.
• Assist in processing and reconciling tuition, corporate, branch‑campus, and other receivable invoices in coordination with internal departments.
• Review and reconcile scholarship and financial aid records for active students.
• Prepare reports, support quarterly VAT filing, and assist with monthly closing entries and receivable reconciliations.
• Support regulatory reporting for authorities such as the Ministry, KHDA, and CHEDS.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis and reports for senior management.
• Assist with year‑end audit activities, including schedule preparation and documentation.
• Identify and recommend improvements to accounting systems, controls and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum five years of accounting experience, with at least two years in the education sector preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and university accounting policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Arabic.
