Accounting Manager – Tokenized Equities

About the role

Coinbase is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead the finance function for its Tokenized Equities product. This senior individual‑contributor role will build the accounting and reporting framework from scratch, ensuring compliance with the Abu Dhabi Global Market regulator and alignment with US GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the end‑to‑end accounting model for token issuance, redemption, asset tracking, inter‑company flows and month‑end close.
• Own regulatory reporting to the FSRA, maintain audit trails, and respond to ad‑hoc regulator queries.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and Finance Data to embed accurate, controlled, and scalable financial flows.
• Approve fund flows, posting rules, account setups, ledger structures, reconciliations and reporting before launch.
• Lead accounting analysis for new structures under US GAAP and IFRS, including dividends, splits and balance‑sheet treatment.
• Build the reporting framework for the issuer entity, prepare annual audited IFRS financials, local filings and support external audits.
• Establish a robust control environment for a regulated launch, identifying risks and assigning owners.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Significant accounting or finance experience in a regulated environment such as capital markets, broker‑dealer, exchange, custody, clearing or digital assets.
• Hands‑on experience working directly with a financial regulator on inquiries, examinations or filings.
• Proven ability to apply accounting standards to novel or complex products.
