ADDC Engineer – Electrical Operations (UAE)

About the role

At EFS Facilities Services we are seeking a technically strong and execution‑focused ADDC Engineer to support electrical operations, maintenance and compliance across our facilities management portfolio in the United Arab Emirates. The role ensures reliable electrical system performance, adherence to ADDC/TAQA standards and safe execution of all electrical works.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day electrical operations and maintenance activities across assigned facilities.
• Ensure compliance with ADDC/TAQA standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support maintenance of electrical systems, substations and switchgear equipment.
• Assist in testing, commissioning and hand‑over of substations and related electrical systems.
• Monitor system performance, identify faults and ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors and authorities for electrical works and approvals.
• Maintain safety procedures, permit‑to‑work systems and operational SOPs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation related to electrical operations.
• Support audits, inspections and regulatory compliance checks.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reliability.

Required profile

• Valid ADDC CP1 and CP2 certification (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of electrical systems in line with TAQA/ADDC requirements.
• Hands‑on experience in testing and commissioning of substations and maintenance of switchgear systems.
• Exposure to facilities‑management or maintenance environments.
• Experience supervising and developing teams.
• Proactive approach with strong ownership and accountability.
• High attention to detail and strong safety awareness.
