Adjunct Faculty – Mechanical Engineering Lecturer

About the role

RIT Dubai is seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified individual to join its Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department as a full‑time lecturer. The role focuses on delivering core undergraduate and graduate courses and does not include research obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Teach core subjects such as Fundamentals of Mechanics, Dynamics, Heat Transfer, and Numerical Methods.
• Develop course materials, laboratory exercises, and assessment tools.
• Provide academic advising to undergraduate and graduate students, including supervision of MSc projects.
• Participate in departmental service activities and contribute to curriculum improvement.
• Support visiting scholars or sabbatical faculty as needed.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven ability to teach graduate‑level Mechanical Engineering or Applied Mechanics courses.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Prior teaching experience at an American or European institution.
• Relevant industry experience in mechanical engineering.
