About the role

Otis is seeking an Adjuster to perform safety checks, testing and adjustments on elevators and escalators at client sites in Abu Dhabi. The role involves working under the guidance of a Senior Adjustor to ensure equipment operates safely and meets Otis standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safety checks before starting work at client sites.
• Clean, lubricate and test the over‑speed governor and Safety Action Mechanism.
• Check static balancing of units, adjust counterweights and final limits under supervision.
• Install door skates, set door locks and verify bolt tightness at each landing.
• Perform unit safety inspections, including shaft travel, interference checks, and electrical operation of doors, buttons and intercom.
• Escalate concerns, complete NCRs and report process infractions.
• Set contact parameters in controllers, adjust acceleration, deceleration and ride quality to Otis standards.
• Inspect motor pits and escalator steps for debris, clean as required, and test escalator operation for obstructions.
• Prepare inspection, field test, safety check and audit reports for new installations.
