Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager

About the role

POWERTECH is a centre of excellence for propulsion technologies, designing and manufacturing combustion, turbo‑jet and turbofan engines for aerospace, defence and autonomous platforms. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead the greenfield establishment of manufacturing facilities, equipment investments and process development to support Powertech’s turbofan, micro‑jet and piston‑engine programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Define layout, utilities and workflow for new manufacturing plants and create capacity models aligned with production ramp‑up.
• Develop capital investment plans for machines, tooling and automation.
• Lead development, validation and continuous improvement of machining and fabrication processes for rotating and structural engine components.
• Establish manufacturing standards, routings, work instructions and control plans; manage process validation, First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP/industrial qualification.
• Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) from prototype to production readiness, supporting make‑buy decisions and ramp‑up strategies.
• Collaborate with design teams in concurrent engineering to influence part design for manufacturability, quality and cost.
• Develop and support external suppliers and equipment partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience building greenfield manufacturing facilities and leading teams from the ground up.
• Strong background in process development, industrialisation and NPI for aerospace or defence propulsion components.
• Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering, suppliers and equipment vendors.
