Advanced Manufacturing Senior Engineer

About the role

POWERTECH is seeking a senior technical leader to drive manufacturing process development and industrialisation for its propulsion engine programmes. The role will guide greenfield manufacturing set‑up, advanced machining, and design‑to‑manufacture activities for turbofan, microjet and piston engines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, qualification and continuous improvement of advanced machining and fabrication processes for rotating and structural engine components.
• Provide technical leadership in precision turning, multi‑axis milling, airfoil machining, broaching, grinding, inertia welding, electron‑beam welding and forming.
• Define and review manufacturing routings, work instructions, control plans and inspection strategies.
• Manage manufacturing engineering activities during New Product Introduction (NPI) from prototype to production readiness, including make/buy decisions and ramp‑up planning.
• Support concurrent engineering with design teams to improve manufacturability, quality and cost, and to mitigate early‑stage manufacturing risks.
• Lead supplier process reviews, technical alignment and technology transfer to in‑house production.
• Mentor manufacturing engineers, drive capability development and standardisation across the engineering team.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in manufacturing engineering for aerospace or propulsion systems.
• Strong background in advanced machining, fabrication processes and industrialisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead NPI projects and work collaboratively with design and supplier teams.
• Excellent technical communication and leadership skills.
