Advanced Solutions Trainee – Process & Software Engineering

About the role

Yokogawa is seeking an Advanced Solutions Trainee to support process and software engineering activities in Abu Dhabi. The role offers hands‑on exposure to process design, simulator configuration and factory acceptance testing within a global industrial automation leader.

Key responsibilities

• Familiarize with P&IDs, control philosophy and shadow simulator configuration, supporting FAT testing to build process and OTS software understanding.
• Review engineering data from customers’ process designs.
• Configure models, produce engineering documentation and assist in MAT and FA activities.
• Support FAT execution and client walkthroughs, including checklist execution, discrepancy logging and answering basic queries.
• Progress to owning the configuration of a defined sub‑system and develop scenario and malfunction simulations.
