AI Development Engineer (FDE)

About the role

As an AI Development Engineer you will design, build and integrate enterprise‑grade AI solutions for Capgemini’s clients in the Middle East. You will work on generative AI applications, retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines, AI agents and automation workflows that run on Azure AI services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate GenAI apps, RAG components, prompt flows and data connectors.
• Build responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and modern UI libraries.
• Implement vector indexes, embeddings, document processing and knowledge grounding with Azure AI services.
• Create proof‑of‑concepts, MVPs and reusable accelerators for client demonstrations.
• Support testing, performance tuning, monitoring, cost optimisation and groundedness checks.
• Document designs, deployment steps and reusable implementation patterns.
• Collaborate with consultants, product owners, architects, UX designers and governance specialists.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in software, data, AI, cloud development or automation.
• Hands‑on experience building GenAI, RAG, chatbot or AI/ML enterprise solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and modern frontend development (React/Next.js).
• Experience working in agile teams and communicating technical trade‑offs.
