Alumni Officer – Build Graduate Relations

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is looking for an Alumni Officer to strengthen connections with its graduates. The role involves developing and implementing alumni relations strategies that enhance engagement and support the university’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute high‑quality on‑ and off‑campus activities and events to increase alumni engagement.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of alumni, including employment history.
• Act as an account manager to grow and sustain positive relationships with alumni.
• Provide pre‑graduation guidance and support to current students.
• Prepare bi‑annual reports on alumni activities and present feedback to relevant units.
• Deliver presentations about the university and ensure alumni‑related digital material is accurate.
• Organise alumni fundraising initiatives and develop an annual budget.
• Manage the Alumni Association and secure funding from diverse sources.
• Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors to support university advancement.

Required profile

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in education management or a related field from an accredited university.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in a university setting.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Appreciation of cultural diversity and tactful handling of difficult situations.
